This Writ Petition is filed in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to trace the said document dated 13.01.1991 registered as Document No.2939/1991 and the gift deed dated 05.08.1996 registered as Document No.2993/1996 on the file of the Sub-Registrar Office, Sorramangalam, Salem and on failure, directing the respondents to issue Non-traceable certificate to that effect.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the second respondent for misplacing his original sale deeds Document No.2939/1991 dated 13.01.1991 and gift deed Document No.2993/1996 dated 05.08.1996. He would further submit that the petitioner has also made paper publication on 27.10.2022 with regard to the missing of original documents. 2/4

Considering the above, the second respondent police is directed to conduct enquiry ensuring the said documents have not been deposited for any purpose, following the circular issued by the Director General of Police within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Depending upon the outcome of the above said enquiry, the petitioner can workout her remedy through appropriate proceedings, if not satisfied.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
