For Petitioner Mr.S.Venkatesh For Respondent Mr.R.Shankarganesh C O M M O N O R D E R These contempt petitions have been filed by the petitioners complaining violation of the common order dated 03.06.2024 passed in W.P. 2. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, it is brought to the notice of this Court that the respondent, having considered the representations submitted by the petitioners, issued proceedings bearing Na.Ka.No.2206/2016/D2, dated 21.04.2025 and accordingly, an amount of Rs.6,44,001/- has been deposited with the Deputy Commissioner of Labour, Tirunelveli, vide Demand Draft No.886036, drawn on State Bank of India, Sucheendram Branch, dated 21.04.2025. It is further submitted that out of the said amount, a sum of Rs.4,77,230/- is in respect of the petitioner in Cont.P.(MD) No.3041 of 2024 and Rs.1,66,771/- is in respect of the petitioner in Cont.P.(MD) No.3042 of 2024. 3. However, learned counsel for the petitioners contended that the respondent has not furnished a detailed calculation as to how the said figure was arrived at and the petitioners are entitled to some more amounts.

This Court, by a common order dated 03.06.2024, has only directed consideration of the representations submitted by the petitioners in the light of the Circular in Na.Ka.No.22735/2018, dated 13.01.2020, issued by the Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments. There is no positive direction by quantifying the amount. In view of the same, this Court does not see any deliberate violation of the orders passed by this Court. As the respondent herein has already considered the representations of the petitioners herein, this Court is not inclined to continue the contempt proceedings against the respondent herein.
6. Accordingly, these contempt petitions are closed. However, it is open for the petitioners to work out their remedies in accordance with law, in case if they are of the view that they are entitled to some more amounts. The respondent is also directed to furnish a copy of the detailed calculation as to how he arrived at the amounts as mentioned above to the respective petitioners, within a period of two weeks from today. 22.04.2025 NCC Yes / No Index Yes / No Internet :
