PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime no.10 of 2023 on the file of the Respondent Police ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/sole accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 10.10.2023 for the alleged offence punishable under Section 7 A of Prevention of 1/3

Corruption Act(Amendment Act 2018) in Crime No.10 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner herein who is working as Sub Inspector of Survey, Town Settlement have demanded a sum of Rs.10,000/- as undue advantage from the complainant for making arrangements to issue patta for the house site. Hence the case.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would contend that the petitioner is innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He would further submit that the petitioner is in custody from 10.10.2023, hence he seeks bail.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police would submit that petitioner herein who is working as Sub Inspector of Survey, Town Settlement have demanded a sum of Rs.10,000/- as undue advantage from the complainant for making arrangements to issue patta for the house site. Trap was arranged and the petitioner was caught red handed, hence he objected to grant bail to the petitioner.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the gravity of offence committed by the petitioner and also the fact that the investigation is not yet completed, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 2/3

6. Hence the petition stands dismissed.
