ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to prevent the respondents 4 to 6 from laying any electric line across the petitioner's land in S.Nos.340/2, 340/2C2, 374/2B, 375/1A, 375/1C, 375/2A, 375/2D, 375/3A and 375/4A at Naganur Village, Kulithalai Taluk, Karur District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 25.08.2025.

2. The only grievance of the petitioner is that appropriate permission from the District Collector, namely, Enter upon permission has not been sought for by the sixth respondent under Section 164 of the Electricity Act, 2004, read with Section 12 of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885. The sixth respondent shall therefore obtain such permission before laying the transmission line. It is open to the District Collector to fix the compensation payable to the petitioner, if any, in such event. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
3. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. It is needless to say till such permission is obtained, line will not be drawn over the petitioner's land.
