ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a Medical intern seeking to return the original Certificates on the ground that due to personal reasons she was not able to complete the bond service period of two years. 2/6

2. The petitioner had given a representation to the authorities on 28.12.2021 seeking to extend the services of the petitioner in any one of the hospitals at Chennai. However, the said request was not considered. Therefore, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. In view of the recent regulations, the bond service period has been reduced from two years to one year. The petitioner has already completed eight months of bond service. The petitioner's request for extension of her bond service made in the year 2021 has not been considered in time.

4. Therefore, this Court is of the considered opinion that the petitioner should be brought within the bond service of the recent order, namely, the petitioner has to serve one year of bond service. Therefore, four months have been left out for completion of the bond service. In order to complete the four months bond service, the petitioner seeks some accomodation in any one of the four Medical Colleges, in Chennai City namely, Kilpaukkam Medical College, Omandur Government Medical College, Madras Medical College or Standly Medical College.

In view of the above said facts, the authorities are directed to consider the request of the petitioner to accomodate her in any one of the above said four medical colleges within the city of Chennai and pass orders permitting her to continue the bond service for a period of four months from the date on which she joins duty, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On completion of four months bond service, the original certificates shall be returned to the writ petitioner.

6. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition stands closed.
