Heard both sides.

2. The first respondent issued notification calling for applications for grant of mini bus permit for the petition mentioned route. The writ petitioner alone applied in response to the said notification. Though more than six months have elapsed, the petitioner has not been given permit. Hence, this writ petition came to be filed for directing the respondents to grant permission sought for without issuing any fresh notification.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader on written instructions submitted that there was no competition and that the writ petitioner was the sole applicant. The first respondent is seriously considering whether to straightaway grant permit to the petitioner or to re-notify the resurveyed route. It is undertaken that a decision on merits shall be taken within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Recording the stand of the respondents, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
