3 W.P.(MD)NO.26234 OF 2025 489, 490, 498, and 503 Part (503/2, 4, 5, 6, 7A and 7B) via 446, 444/1, 480/2 and 479 situates at Parambur Village, Iluppur Taluk, Pudukottai District so as to enable 28 Ayacutdars of the petitioner association who are doing cultivation therein to get proper distribution of water from the tank and make necessary entries about the irrigation supply channels in all the Government records by considering the petitioner's representation dated 04.08.2025. O R D E R

Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner is a water users association. They want to form a channel for the benefit of the Ayacutdars by deploying their own funds. The petitioner has already given their proposal, in this regard.

3. Respondents 11 and 12 are directed to immediately conduct a spot inspection. On the basis of the their request, the jurisdictional Tahsildar will make available the services of the local surveyor also. This shall be done within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The report shall be 3/6

4 W.P.(MD)NO.26234 OF 2025 submitted to the tenth respondent, thereafter. The tenth respondent shall forward the same to the District Collector, Pudukottai within a period of one week, thereafter. The District Collector will pass a positive order within a period of two weeks, thereafter. These are matters which should be ideally carried out by the Government. But on account of omission on the part of the administration, the petitioner themselves have come forward. Such initiatives should be encouraged. It is open to the Department to suggest amendments at their end. The petitioner should be permitted to carry out formation of the petition mentioned sub channel in the manner indicated by the authorities. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition stands allowed on these terms.
