This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash C.C.No.163 of 2006, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Tirunelveli, Tirunelveli District.

2. Today, when the Criminal Original Petition came up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are not pressing the Criminal Original Petition. However, he submitted that there may be a direction to the Trial Court to expedite the trial and complete the same within a specified time. The learned counsel for the petitioners further submitted that a direction may also be issued to the Trial Court to dispense with the personal appearance of the petitioners 2 to 6.

3. In view of the above, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as not pressed. However, a direction is issued to the Trial Court to expedite the trial and complete the same within a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Insofar as the prayer made by the petitioners 2 to 6 to dispense with their personal appearance is concerned, it is for the Trial Court to consider the said relief, as and when any petition is made by the petitioners 2 to 6 alone.
