Respondents PRAYER :- This Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, to direct the 1st respondent to issue necessary direction to the 2nd respondent to give adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members based on the complaint of the petitioner dated 19.11.2023. ORDER

The petitioner seeks police protection to him.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. The allegation seems to be that the fifth respondent is the wife of the petitioner and he is suspecting her fidelity and having illicit relationship with the 3rd and 4th respondents.

4. It is the contention of that the 3rd and 4th respondents have absolutely no connection with the 5th respondent. In fact, the 3rd and 4th respondent even vacated their house and gone away to a different place. A case in crime No.1902 of 2023 was registered and the investigation completed and final report was filed before the Judicial Magistrate No.II, Trichy and the same is yet to be taken on file.

5. Since the matter arises out of matrimonial discord, the petitioner has to take specific proceedings with reference to any extramarital affair, if at all there is truth in the same. As far as the prayer for police

protection is concerned, the same cannot be countenanced. If any specific instance of commission of any crime is attempted against the petitioner, then, the petitioner can report the same to the respondent police and considering the same on its own merits, the respondent police will take action in accordance with law.

6. With the said liberty preserved to the petitioner, this Petition stands disposed of.
