Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner purchased the petition mentioned land from one Selvaraj vide sale deed dated 10.02.2012 (Document No.1003/2012 on the file of the SRO, Thiruthangal). Copy of the patta standing in the name of Selvaraj has been enclosed in the typed set of papers. Thereafter, mutation of the revenue record was in favour of the petitioner also. But then, in the computer system, the land has been erroneously shown as 'Tharisu'. The petitioner seeks reclassification of the same. The matter was enquired into. The Sub Collector, Sivakasi had sent a communication dated 21.02.2022 recommending reclassification as sought for by the petitioner.

3. After going through the materials on record, I am more than satisfied that the petition mentioned land is a patta land. Therefore, the first respondent is directed to rectify the entry in the computer system. Instead of Tharisu, the petition mentioned land in question shall be shown as patta land belonging to the petitioner. This shall be done as expeditiously as possible. 2/4

4. The Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
