PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.68 of 2023 on the file of the Respondent Police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4, 16 and 17 of the Bonded Labour System 1/3

(Abolition) Act, 1976 in Crime No.68 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, it is noticed that the petitioner is prosecuted for the offence punishable under Sections 4, 16 and 17 of the Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, 1976. As per Section 22 of the Act, every offence under this Act shall be cognizable and bailable. Therefore, anticipatory bail petition is not maintainable. Hence, this criminal original petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to approach the trial Court.
