ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent not to harass the petitioner in guise of enquiry. 1/4

2.The contention of the petitioner is that one Maniarasan gave a false complaint against the petitioner and in the guise of enquiry, the petitioner is being harassed. The petitioner had filed a civil suit in O.S.No.311 of 2024 against the said Maniarasan and Govindasamy. But the respondent police are not considering the same and on the other hand, at the instance of the said Maniarasan, they have harassed the petitioner. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) submits that the said Maniarasan had lodged a complaint against the petitioner that he has misappropriated a sum of Rs.10,00,000/- from him, based on which CSR No.146 of 2024 has been assigned and the petitioner was called for enquiry. But the petitioner has failed to appear before the respondent police for enquiry.

4.At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is ready to appear before the respondent police for enquiry on 12.12.2024.

5.Considering the said undertaking given by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent 2/4

police for enquiry on 12.12.2024 without fail and thereafter, the respondent police is to complete the enquiry within a period of two months from 12.12.2024.

6.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
