ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of the respondents to issue patta in the petitioner's name on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 14.11.2024 within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
2. The petitioner's mother purchased the property in S.No.469/2 to an extent 2.27 ares in Appananallur Village, Trichy District, under a registered sale deed in Doc.No.1360/1984. After demise of the petitioner's mother, the petitioner continued to be in possession and enjoyment of the property. While so, the petitioner came to know that during UDR period, the name of Evuri D/o Mariyayi was wrongly entered in the revenue records and also the extent was reduced into 3 3⁄4 cents instead of 5 cents. The petitioner therefore approached the third respondent to transfer the patta in his name and to correct the extent in the patta. As no action was taken, the petitioner made a representation on 20.08.204 under the 'Makkaludan Mudhalvar' scheme and also gave a fresh representation to the respondents on 14.11.2024 through registered 2/5
post. Even after receipt of the representations, the respondents did not take any action. Therefore, the petitioner filed the above writ petition for the aforesaid relief.
3.In view of the above stated facts, I am inclined to give a direction. Accordingly, the third respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 14.11.2024, on merits and in accordance with law in strict compliance of Section 10 of the Patta Passbook Act within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
