This petition has been filed challenging the proceedings in C.C.No.121 of 2021 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Vilathikulam.

2.The case of the prosecution is that A1 has married a minor girl and his marriage was conducted by the family members. On coming to know the same, the District Welfare Officer has given a complaint. 3.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the girl has become a major and thereafter the marriage was conducted and there is a child through the wedlock and now they are living happily. 4.The above fact has also confirmed by Ms.P.Maheswari, Sub-Inspector of Police, AWPS Vilathikulam.

5.In view of the above, no useful purpose will be served in continuing the criminal proceedings and accordingly, the proceedings in C.C.No.121 of 2021 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Vilathikulam, is hereby quashed and this Criminal Original petition is allowed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
