10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only) as compensation for the death of the petitioner's son namely Theemothyu, who was 12th standard school going student died due to snake bite, considering the petitioner's representation dated 14.09.2024.

O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents to pay a sum of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Tenk Lakhs only) as compensation for the death of the petitioner's son due to the snake bite.
2. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.
4. The petitioner's son while was sleeping in his house along with the petitioner, he suddenly wake up and informed to the petitioner that there was a 2/5
bug bitten in his hand. At the same time, a snake was left out and therefore, immediately he was taken to hospital and declared that he brought dead. Thereafter, post-moterm was conducted on the body of the deceased and found that there was no evidence to confirm the death due to the snake bite. Therefore, the claim of the petitioner was rejected.
5. In view of the above, the direction sought for by the petitioner in this petition cannot be considered. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
