PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of MANDAMUS directing the 2nd respondent to conduct enquiry based on the petitioner's representation dated 15.09.2025 so as to make correction to change the name of the petitioner's husband Vairaperumal instead of Chinnathambi in patta No. 1132 in respect of survey No.442/1 and 442/4 situated at Edaiyapatti West Village, Kadavur Taluk, Karur District and issue a patta by incorporating the name of the petitioner's husband along with the 4th respondent within time frame as fixed by this Court. 1/4

ORDER

The petitioner is the wife of one Vairaperumal. On the ground that patta No.1132 wrongly mentioned the name of Chinnathambi instead of Vairaperumal, after submitting a representation dated 15.09.2025 seeking rectification of the patta, the present writ petition has been filed. 2.Learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 3. He submits that the Revenue Divisional Officer will conduct an inquiry, provide a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the 4th respondent and thereafter, issue a speaking order within twelve weeks. 3.In view of the above submissions, it is unnecessary to issue notice to the 4th respondent in this writ petition. Instead, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.09.2025, hold an inquiry in relation thereto by providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the 4th respondent and thereafter, issue a 2/4

speaking order within twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
