ORDER

By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

2.This writ petition is filed to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to take appropriate action on the petitioner's representation dated 09.10.2024 against the 5th respondent.

3.Heard the learned counsels on either sides and carefully perused the materials available on record.

4.The complaint of the petitioner is that the 5th respondent had issued a work order without conducting an auction for the said works by negating the various steps mandated in tender notification and had violated all the rules mandated in the Tender Transparency Act, 1998. For which, the learned Government Advocate Mr.S.Kameswaran placed before me a paper book which would reveal that for all the eight works, proper tender notification has been notified and duly auction was also conducted and thereafter work order was issued. In view of the same, nothing survives in this writ petition.

5.This Court is of the considered view that the petitioner's representation is baseless and the writ petition is dismissed. However, it is open to the petitioner to challenge the tender process. There shall be no order as to costs.
