Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents.

2. Issuance of notice to the private respondents is dispensed with.

3. The petitioner's counsel seeks relief only with respect to survey No.48 and other survey numbers are excluded from the writ prayer.

4. The petitioner is at liberty to pursue the remedy in respect of the excluded survey numbers in the manner known to law. The learned Government Advocate confirmed that survey No.48 has been classified as "Vari". According to the petitioner, this water body has been encroached upon.

5. The seventh respondent is directed to issue notice to the private respondents and other encroachers if any, conduct survey and if the encroachments are noticed, then by adhering to due process of law, the encroachments shall be removed. The entire exercise will be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
