Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider representation dated on 21.07.2025 and issue a Birth Certificate for petitioner's daughter Muthulakshmi, born on 02.01.2014 at Government Hospital, Madurai.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the respondents to consider representation dated on 21.07.2025 and issue a Birth Certificate for petitioner's daughter Muthulakshmi, born on 02.01.2014 at Government Hospital, Madurai."

2. The case of the petitioner is that her representation dated 21.07.2025 regarding issuance of Birth Certificate to her daughter is pending without any action. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 2 to 4 has produced the Birth Certificate maintained in the hospital relating to the petitioner's daughter Muthulakshmi and the same would reveal that the petitioner's daughter was born on 03.01.2013.

4. Therefore, in the light of the above, the respondents are directed to issue the Birth Certificate to the petitioner's daughter to the above said effect within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
