Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to pay a sum of Rs.3,65,500/- to the petitioner towards the work done for the 3rd respondent temple as per the quotation, based on the petitioner's representation dated 26.09.2024.

ORDER

The case of the petitioner is that he had carried on certain works in respect of the third respondent-temple and had not received the payment till date and therefore, he had made a representation.

2. However, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the first respondent, on instructions, had produced a letter addressed by the Executive Officer of the temple to the petitioner indicating that the work would only be carried out after the approval from the Joint Commissioner. He would also submit that the third respondent, without permission from the Department, had proceeded to engage the services of the petitioner.

3. However, considering the fact that the petitioner had made a representation to the respondents, there shall be a direction to the first

respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
