ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed by the wife of a deceased employee of the respondent Transport Corporation.
2. According to the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, the petitioner's husband, who was working as a Conductor had passed away on 01.07.2020 while he was in service. The terminal benefits were released only on 02.12.2022. Hence, she has sent a representation on 09.11.2023 seeking interest for the belated disbursement of the terminal benefits. Since there is no response, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. In view of the above said facts, the respondent herein is directed to pay 6% interest from the due date till 01.12.2022 to the writ petitioner within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4
4. With the above said direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
