ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur to expedite the pending trial in C.C.No.80 of 2013 within the stipulated time to be fixed by this Court.

2. A report was called for from the trial Court as to the stage of the trial process. Report is received stating that due to various reasons and issuance of warrant against some of the accused, it could not complete the trial within the time stipulated by this Court.

3. If it is so, the trial Court ought to have seek extension of time before this Court, to complete the trial process. Without complying the same, another request is made by the trial Court stating that it will be disposed of as soon as possible, not later than six months. Such sort of explanation cannot be accepted. But without taking serious action, this petition stands disposed of, directing the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur to complete the trial process as directed earlier. There is no question of second direction. Compliance of the report must be

submitted to the registry. If the order is not complied, action will be initiated against the concerned Judicial Officer on the judicial side as well as on the administration side.

4. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
