ORDER

This writ petition has been filed directing the 2nd respondent police to issue the non traceable certificate in respect of the original document Nos. 656/2002, 706/2002, 705/2002, 708/2002, 716/2002, 710/2002 and 1314/2002 on the file of the Sub Registrar, Annavasal Sub Registration Office, Pudukkottai District on the basis of the petitioner representation, dated 19.10.2023 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the second respondent for misplacing of his original documents bearing No. 656/2002, 706/2002, 705/2002, 708/2002, 716/2002, 710/2002 and 1314/2002 on the file of the Sub Registrar, Annavasal Sub Registration Office, Pudukkottai District . He would further submit that the petitioner has also made paper publication on 01.11.2023 with regard to the missing of original documents. 2/4

Considering the above, the second respondent police is directed to conduct enquiry ensuring the said document has not been deposited for any purpose, following the circular issued by the Director General of Police within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Depending upon the outcome of the above said enquiry, the petitioner can workout his remedy through appropriate proceedings, if not satisfied.
