PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to conduct enquiry and to issue patta to the petitioner and her sister namely Kamala in respect of the properties in Survey No.419/6 and 419/5 (Old Survey No.325/1B) to the extent of 635.25 sq.ft and 2892.65 sq.ft respectively situated at North Street, 5 ward, Sattupathu Village, Ambasamudram Taluk, Tirunelveli District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 01.09.2020 and 03.09.2025 within a stipulated period as framed by this court.

ORDER

The petitioner traces title to the property bearing S.Nos.419/5 and 419/6 from Will dated 01.02.1968 executed by the petitioner's grandfather. The petitioner states that the beneficiary of the said Will was the petitioner's father, who, in turn, bequeathed the property to the petitioner and her sister under Will dated 06.06.2019.

2.Learned counsel for the petitioner relies upon the Adangal extract to contend that the names of the petitioner and her sister Kamala are reflected therein.

3.Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the sole respondent. He submits that the petitioner's request would be considered and disposed of within twelve weeks.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's request for issuance of patta and dispose of the same within twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and her sister. No costs.
