By relying on a registered sale deed dated 04.09.2002 bearing document No.4835/2002 and patta No.978, the petitioner had applied for a survey of the land in Survey No.3/18. On the ground that such request was not acted upon within a reasonable time, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

2. Learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 3 and learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) accepts notice on behalf of the fourth respondent. Learned Government Advocate submits that the petitioner's request would be acted upon within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after putting the relevant adjacent landowners on notice. 2/5

3. In response to a specific question, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there are no title disputes relating to the relevant land. He, however, submits that the adjacent landowners may be put on notice before the matter is proceeded with.

4. Accordingly, the first and second respondents are directed to initiate action on the petitioner's request for a survey and complete the entire exercise within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, subject to objections, if any, by relevant adjacent landowners who should be put on notice.
