ORDER

The petitioners seek to quash the impugned Charge Sheet in S.C.No.199 of 2025, on the file of the learned District Judge, Pudukottai, which was filed for the offences under Sections 294(b), 506(ii) of IPC r/w Section 3(1) of PPD Act.

2.The allegation against the petitioners is that the defacto complainant, who is working as a Public Welfare Worker, reprimanded the petitioners for entering the Panchayat Union Office with footware; that the petitioners abused the defacto complainant with filthy language and damaged the office properties and thus committed the aforesaid offences.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned counsel for the defacto complainant/the second respondent would submit that the parties have now entered into a compromise on the advice of the elders and well-wishers and both the parties have agreed that the impugned final report may be quashed.

5.The petitioners, namely, Noor Mohamed (Aadhaar No.4825 6220 4070), Rias (Aadhaar No.5503 0930 5417), Kalandar (Aadhaar No.4944 3231 6157), Raj Mohamed (Aadhaar No.9996 1857 9709) and the second respondent, namely, Lukmanhakkin (Aadhaar No.8645 5430 8780) are present before this Court in person. They are identified by M/s.Ambigapathi, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Kottaipattinam Police Station, Pudukottai District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

6.Considering the nature of the offences and the fact that the parties have arrived at a compromise, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned charge sheet pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned charge sheet in S.C.No.199 of 2025, on the file of the learned District Judge, Pudukottai, is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. 26.09.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes cp 7/9
