ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a direction, directing the first respondent to register the redemption of mortgage in receipt deed dated 22.11.2024 submitted by the petitioner.

2. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3. The property comprised in S.No.53/6 measuring to an extent fo 92 cents, in S.No.53/7, measuring to an extent of 1.42 acres, in S.No. 39/3, measuring to an extent of 1.40 acres situated at E.Muthuramalingapuram village, Sattur Taluk, Virudhunagar District originally belonged to one Late Santhanam Asari and his legal heirs mortgaged the above properties to the second respondent for a consideration amount of Rs.50,000/- through a registered mortgage deed vide Document No.1808/1983 on the file of the first respondent. 2/4

4. After repayment of the entire loan, the petitioner redeem the subject properties and presented receipt deed for registration. However, the first respondent refused to receive the same.

5. In view of the above, the first respondent is directed to receive the receipt deed produced by the petitioner and register the same forthwith, if it is otherwise in order.
