This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1st and 2nd to provide adequate police protection to the Jakkammal and Ayyanar Temples and its fencing areas situated at Kovilankulam Tank in Survey No. 302 Kovilankulam Village, Kamuthi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, owned by the Thottiyapatti Villagers in the light of the decision taken in the peace committee conducted by the Tahsildar, Kamuthi, on 29.09.2023 and on the basis of the petitioners representation dated 03.11.2023. 2.The petitioner has sent a representation to the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the Jakkammal and Ayyanar 2/5
Temples and its fencing areas situated at Kovilankulam Tank in Survey No. 302 Kovilankulam Village, Kamuthi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, owned by the Thottiyapatti Villagers in the light of the decision taken in the peace committee conducted by the Tahsildar, Kamuthi, on 29.09.2023, on 13.11.2023. Since the same was not considered till date, he has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to consider the same by the respondents.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that now eviction order has been passed by the third respondent. Against which, he filed W.P.(MD).No.29810 of 2023 before the Division Bench of this Court. Now notice has been ordered on that issue. 4.In view of the above the parties has to workout their remedy before the Division Bench itself. There is no question of tagging this matter along with that matter.
