ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a Special Grade Driver of the respondent Transport Corporation, who attained superannuation on 30.09.2022.

2. According to the writ petitioner, his terminal benefits were released only on 30.05.2023. Hence, he has sent a representation on 17.08.2023 seeking interest for the belated payment of terminal benefits. Since there is no response, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. In view of the above said facts, the respondent is directed to pay 6% interest to the writ petitioner from the due date till the date of disbursement, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
