ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by DR.ANITA SUMANTH, J.) This petition is filed seeking a writ of mandamus for grant of parole for a period of seven (7) days to the petitioner's son Karunakaran S/o. Natarajan.

2.Karunakaran is a convicted prisoner ( No. 651352), presently confined at the Central Prison, Trichy. Since his father has passed away today, this petition is moved on an emergency basis. 3.Mr.A.Thiruvadi Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondents 1 and 2 produces an order bearing No. 278728/jF/4/2025 dated 19/09/2025 passed by the Superintendent, Central Prison, Trichy granting the petitioner one day parole as per the Prison Rules. In light of the same, the purpose of Mandamus stands achieved and hence, the writ petition stands closed. No costs. 2/4

4.The petitioner's son i.e. Karunakaran will attend the funeral of his father in Dindugal District. Necessary police escort will be provided and arrangements made at the State's cost. He will be duly escorted from the prison at 6.00 am tomorrow (20.09.2025) and return back to the Central Prison, Trichy, by 6.00 pm on the same day.
