Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 30.04.2025 and grant license within a time frame fixed by this court . ORDER

The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 30.04.2025 and grant license within a time frame fixed by this court .

2. Mr.D.Sasikumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, he is engaged in a small business of selling crackers. In this regard, he was granted LE-5 Licence No.22/2015, which was valid up to 31.03.2016. The petitioner submitted an application for renewal of the said licence. However, the second respondent cancelled the licence. Aggrieved thereby, the petitioner preferred an appeal on 30.04.2025. Since the said appeal has not been considered till date, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking appropriate relief. 2/5

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for respondents, would submit that the appeal filed by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 30.04.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits, on or before 09.10.2025, after issuing notice to the petitioner, and other interested parties, if any.
