ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners, who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 29.04.2022 for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(C) and 25 NDPS Act in Crime No.128 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seek bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that on 29.04.2022, based on secret information, the respondent police intercepted the vehicle driven by the accused and seized 22 kgs of ganja from the vehicle. Hence the case.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would contend that the petitioners are innocent and they have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He would further submit that the petitioners are in custody from 29.04.2022, hence he seeks bail.
4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police would submit that the investigation in this case was completed and charge sheet also filed, which was taken on file in C.C.No.260 of 2022 by the Special Court for EC and NDPS Act Cases, Pudukkottai.

5.Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record. 6.Considering the facts and circumstances and considering the seriousness of the offence committed by the petitioners, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed. However, the Special Court for EC and NDPS Act Cases, Pudukkottai is hereby directed to dispose the case in C.C.No.260 of 2022, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
