ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for a mandamus, directing the second respondent to mutate the patta in the petitioner's name for the land in Survey No.13 to an extent of 26 cents out of 1 acre 48 cents, situated at Gothandaramapuram Village, Illuppur Taluk, Pudukkottai District, following G.O. Ms. No.84, dated 04.02.2020, issued by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Survey and Settlement Wing (SS-II(2) Section.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents, produced a copy of the order, dated 27.12.2024, passed by the second respondent, rejecting the request of the petitioner for sub-division patta.

3. As the second respondent has already rejected the petitioner's request, the prayer in the writ petition has become infructuous. Writ Petition is, therefore, dismissed, as infructuous. In any event, liberty is given to the

petitioner to challenge the order of the second respondent, dated 27.12.2024, in the manner known to law, if he is so advised. No costs. 21.01.2025 NCC :
