ORDER

The petitioner is an Inspector of Police and he was issued with a charge memo on 22.12.2020. After a detailed enquiry, a punishment of postponement of increment for a period of one year without cumulative effect was imposed by the 2nd respondent herein by his order, dated 30.06.2022.

2. Challenging the same, the writ petitioner has filed a revision before the 1st respondent herein on 31.08.2022. While the revision was pending, the petitioner has filed W.P(MD)No.10024 of 2023 seeking to quash the order, dated 30.06.2022. This Court by its order, dated 30.06.2023 has rejected the said request and directed the 1st respondent to pass orders on the revision petition within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order. However, so far the 1st respondent has not passed any orders in the revision petition as directed by this Court. Hence, the present writ petition. 2/5

Considering the fact that this Court has already directed the 1st respondent to pass orders within a period of 12 weeks, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to pass final orders in the revision petition filed by the writ petitioner, dated 31.08.2022 within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. In view of the earlier directions of this Court, time granted by this Court shall be strictly adhered too.

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
