Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner obtained passport in the year 1995. The petitioner now wants his name as well as the date of birth to be changed. The request for change of name cannot be accepted. I can consider the said request only on the basis of the Gazette publication that has been made regarding the date of birth.

3. The petitioner is permitted to submit a fresh application before the second respondent. The second respondent will conduct an enquiry. The petitioner shall be asked to appear in person. The petitioner will place proper materials to show his actual date of birth. If the second respondent is satisfied that the petitioner's date of birth is 09.07.1979 and not 19.05.1973, correction in the passport will be done by the second respondent. The entire exercise will be completed within a period of ten weeks from the date of 2/4
