ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to pass suitable order on the petitioner's application dated 30.01.2025 and consequential proceedings of the respondent vide Na.Ka.No.0453/2025/2 dated 18.02.2025 in the manner known to law within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Mrs.S.Jeyapriya, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondent. By consent of parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The petitioner submits that he filed an application before the respondent on 30.01.2025 under the provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, which is still pending before the respondent. As there has been no further progress, he has filed the present writ petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondent submit that the application of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's application dated 30.01.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits, after affording a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this writ petition stands allowed. No costs.
