ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners/accused who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 498(A), 294(b), 406 and 506(i) IPC r/w Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act r/w Section 4 of Women Harassment Act, in Crime No. 34 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that there was a matrimonial dispute between the defacto complainant and A1 and it is stated that A1 along with relatives were demanding for dowry and did not return back jewelry and she was treated with cruelty.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent. 4.Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering that matrimonial dispute is involved in this case and custodial interrogation may not be required in this case, the respondent Police is directed to follow the procedure adumbrated under Section 35 of BNSS Act and complete the investigation as expeditiously as possible.
