ORDER

The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to pass orders on the petitioner's application dated 05.08.2024 seeking cancellation of patta issued in the name of the fourth respondent. 2.The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner's temple was gifted with 20 cents of land and the petitioner's temple has been in possession and enjoyment of the same right from the date of the settlement in his favour. However, the fourth respondent, based on the fradulent settlement deed, has proceeded to obtain patta in respect of 20 cents, which was larger than the 9.5 cents held by the predecessor in interest by the fourth respondent. Therefore, the petitioner has sought for cancellation of the patta issued in the name of the fourth respondent. The said representation is pending with the first respondent/District Revenue Officer. The petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of the said representation, dated 05.08.2024.

3.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for in the writ petition, with the consent of the learned counsel on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 4.Without going into the merits of the petitioner's contention, it would suffice to issue a direction to the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 05.08.2024, in accordance with law and on merits, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
