This Writ Petition is filed in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to grant permission and to provide police protection to conduct the Games competition from 03.12.2023 to 05.12.2023 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.11.2023.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that because of group rivalry, Peace Committee Meeting was arranged in the presence of Tahsildar, Thiruppathur, on 06.11.2023. Since both the parties did not appear before the authority, it is pending. Pending the above said meeting, recommendation to initiate the proceedings under Section 107 Cr.P.C has been made by the Sub-Inspector of Police, Thirukoshtiyur Police Station, before the concerned authority and now, it is stated to be pending.
3. Let both the parties appear before the concerned authority and workout their remedy through appropriate proceedings. There is no question of granting of Police protection and giving permission to one of 2/4
the parties at this stage.
4. With the above said direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
