ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents herein to remove the photo of the petitioner affixed in the Notice Board showing him as thief and placed the same in public places.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the photo of the petitioner has already been removed https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

from the notice board affixed in the office of the respondents. Earlier, on 27.11.2013, this Court directed the respondents to file an affidavit and as per the directions of this Court, today, the fifth respondent / Assistant Commissioner of Police filed an affidavit stating that the photograph of the petitioner herein has already been removed from the concern Police station as well as in the other areas.

3.In view of the above, the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(T&P) /True Copy/ Sub Assistant Registrar To 1.The Director General of Police, Chennai.
