Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 25.08.2025 seeking transfer of patta in respect of Ayan Nanjai Survey No. 221, 222/5, 267/2D, 267/2E and Ayan Punjai Survey No.s 192, 203/1B1, 203/2 and 203/1B2 of Ayyanarkulam village, Alangulam taluk, Tenkasi District within such time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

By relying on a sale deed dated 02.02.2011 and a settlement deed dated 27.02.2014, the petitioner had submitted a request for issuance of patta. On the ground that such request was not disposed of, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the first respondent. He submits that the request is pending before the Tahsildar and would be considered and disposed of on merits after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the second respondent.

3. In view of the above submissions, it is not necessary to issue notice to the second respondent in this Writ Petition. Instead, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's request for issuance of patta and dispose of the same on merits after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the second respondent. This exercise shall be completed within a period of 2/4

twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
