Prayer :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the impugned order dated 16.11.2023 in No. 3617/Tha.Ku2/2023 and Quash the same and consequently directing the respondents to grant ordinary leave for 40 days without escort to the life convict prisoner namely, Shakar Kumar, S/o. Natarajan, aged 43 years, bearing Life Convict No. 3617, detained at Cenral Prison, Palayamkottai.

ORDER:- This Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/s. R.Narayanan, Advocate for the Petitioner and of M/s. S. Ravi, Government Advocate for the respondents, this Court made the following order: The matter is listed under the caption 'for reporting compliance' today.

2. The Writ Petition was allowed and the petitioner's son, Shankar Kumar, was granted 28 days of ordinary leave by this Court vide order dated 19.12.2023. Pursuant to the order passed by this Court, he has availed the leave and surrendered before the third respondent on 19.01.2024. The compliance of the order has been communicated by the Superintendent of Prison, Central Prison, Palayamkottai vide letter dated 22.01.2024.

3. In view of the same, no further orders are required in the present Writ Petition.
