ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the the respondents to issue patta for the property comprised in S. Nos. 915/8, 918/2, 914/1, 913/2, 910/2E, 912/3, 926/1A, 912/1B, 677/3A, 910/2B, 914/3, 914/4, 914/5, 915/1, 918/3, 919/1E1, 938/6, 713/1A, 718/5, 713/1B, 925/2, 926/1B, 926/4, 926/5, 926/6, 926/7, 938/3, 938/2, 672/2 and 723/1 A situated at S.Tharaikudi village, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanthapuram District on the basis of the online application dated 13.7.2024 and 25.07.2024 within a stipulated time period in accordance with law.

2. The petitioner's principal under various sale deeds dated 10.01.2006, 07.02.2006 and 24.02.2006 purchased the lands comprised in S. Nos. 915/8, 918/2, 914/1, 913/2, 910/2E, 912/3, 926/1A, 912/1B, 677/3A, 910/2B, 914/3, 914/4, 914/5, 915/1, 2/5

918/3, 919/1E1, 938/6, 713/1A, 718/5, 713/1B, 925/2, 926/1B, 926/4, 926/5, 926/6, 926/7, 938/3, 938/2, 672/2 and 723/1 A situated at S.Tharaikudi village, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanthapuram District. Ever since the purchase, the petitioner's principal was in peaceful and uninterrupted possession and enjoyment of the said properties. In pursuance of the purchase, the petitioner's principal applied for online patta on 13.07.2024 and 25.07.2024. As no action was taken on the petitioner's principal's applications, the petitioner's principal sent a representation on 29.07.2024, and even thereafter, no action was taken. Therefore, the petitioner sent a representation on 07.08.2024, to the second respondent to process the petitioner's principal's application and pass orders. Even thereafter, no action was taken. Therefore, the petitioner filed the above writ petition for the aforesaid relief.

3. It is seen that the petitioner's principal's application is kept pending from July 2024. I am therefore inclined to direct the second respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's applications 3/5

dated 13.07.2024 and 25.07.2024 on merits, in accordance with law and in consonance with the provisions of Patta Passbook Act and also in conformity with the time line provided in the Circular dated 17.07.2023 issued by the Commissioner, Land Administration, Chennai.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
