Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to ensure continuance of customary religious practices in Arulmigu Sri Angalaparameswari Amman Temple, Manchanallur, Trichy on the eve of Navarathiri ceremony which is to be held between 22.09.2025 to 30.09.2025 in consonance with Section 63(e) order of the first respondent in O.A.No.7 of 2003 dated 23.08.2005 and based on the petitioner's representation dated 20.09.2025. Heard both sides.
2.The writ petitioner filed W.P(MD)No.23432 of 2024 and the said writ petition was disposed of on 01.10.2024 in the following terms: "6. In view thereof, this Court is inclined to direct the respondents to comply with the order passed in O.A.No.7 of 2003 dated 23.08.2005 in respect of the 2/4
applicants therein, i.e., P.Hari Baskar (the petitioner herein), N.R.Venkatachalam Chettiyar and R.Vishvanathan. The petitioner undertakes before this Court that he would not interfere with the management in any manner and would not collect any donations. The said undertaking is recorded. The respondents shall permit the petitioner, N.R.Venkatachalam Chettiyar and R.Vishvanathan to perform their customary practices." 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the writ petitioner had been forced to file this writ petition because impediments have been raised again this year. The petitioner had installed what is known as "Golu" in the Golu Mandabam and also performed Golu pooja last year. Whatever happened last year pursuant to the direction given by this Court in W.P(MD)No.23432 of 2024 shall be observed this year also. 4.This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
