ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed by a Special Grade Driver of the respondent Transport Corporation, who attained superannuation on 31.05.2022.
2. According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the terminal benefits of the petitioner were settled only on 30.05.2023. Hence, the petitioner has sent a representation on 17.10.2023 seeking interest for the belated disbursement of the terminal benefits. Since there is no response, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. Considering the above said facts, the respondent herein is directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% from the due date till 29.05.2023 to the writ petitioner within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above said direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
