O R D E R

This petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondent police to conduct a fair investigation and to file a final report in Crime No.573 of 2016 on the file of the second respondent police within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2. According to the petitioner, he is the defacto complainant in this case and based on his complaint, the second respondent police have registered a case in Crime No.573 of 2016 for the offence under Section 420 of Indian Penal Code. Thereafter, they have not conducted proper investigation and so far not filed any final report. Already this Court had directed the respondent police to complete the investigation and file the final report as early as possible in accordance law through an Order dated 02.01.1017 in the Contempt Petition No.1018 of 2016, but even after that they have not filed any final report. Hence, he has filed this petition.

3. The Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that already they completed the investigation and awaiting for a report from the forensic lab. After receipt of the opinion from the forensic lab, they will file the final report. Page No. 2 of 4

4. Considering the prayer sought for in this petition and the case is also pending from the year 2016 onwards, this Court directs the second respondent to file the final report within one month from the date of this Order.

5. With the above said direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
