ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the impugned final report in C.C.No.778 of 2019 on the file of the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Thiruppuvanam, which was filed for the offences under Sections 294(b), 323, and 506(2) of IPC.
2. The allegation in the final report is that, on account of a monetary dispute, the petitioner attacked the de-facto complainant with his hands, abused him in filthy language, and committed the offence of criminal intimidation.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the parties have now arrived at a compromise and they have filed a joint compromise memo dated 31.10.2025.
4. The petitioner, namely Rabik Raja (Aadhaar No.6654 7190 7638), and the 2nd respondent, namely Dheepansakaravarthi (Aadhaar No.4336 4167 8604), are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Ms.V.Tamilarasi, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Thiruppuvanam Police Station, Sivagangai District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them. 2/4

Considering the nature of the allegations against the petitioner and in view of the compromise arrived between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned final report pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned final report in C.C.No.778 of 2019 on the file of the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Thiruppuvanam is quashed and this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The petitioner shall pay a sum of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) as costs to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Bench forthwith and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry. The joint compromise memo dated 31.10.2025 shall form part of this order.
