ORDER

The petitioners seek for quashing of the FIR in Crime No.174 of 2025 on the file of the first respondent for the alleged offences under Section 296(b), 115(2) and 351(2) of BNS, 2023 and Section 82(1) of Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2016.

2. It is the case of the prosecution that the first petitioner is a Teacher and the second petitioner is a Head Master of the School, in which, the defacto complainant's son is studying; and that the petitioners scolded the defacto complainant's son in filthy language and had beaten him with stick and thus committed the aforesaid offences.

3. The parties have now arrived at a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 26th September, 2025 and the scanned copy of the compromise memo reads as follows:

The petitioners, namely Kathiresan (Aadhaar No.3445 2902 0226), Selvaraj (Aadhaar No.9505 2422 7731) and the second respondent, namely Muthatchi (Aadhaar No.7830 0677 9876) are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.M.Kamaraja, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Thiruchuli Police Station, Virudhunagar District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

In view of the same and considering the nature of the offences and the relationship between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned FIR pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned FIR in Crime No.174 of 2025 dated 18.07.2025 is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. 26.09.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No Indu 5/6
