The petitioners / Accused Nos.4 and 5, who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 28.09.2024 for the offences under Sections 8(c) r/w. 20(b)(ii)(c), 25 and 29(1) of NDPS Act in Crime No.403 of 2024 on the file of the respondent Police, seek bail.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police.

3. Taking into consideration the submissions made on either side and the overt act that has been attributed against the petitioners and considering the counter affidavit filed by the respondent Police and also taking note of the fact that the investigation is still pending, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioners on bail at this stage. The petitioners can await for the completion of the investigation and after completion of the investigation, the petitioners can revive their claim for bail.

4. In view of the above, these Criminal Original Petitions stand dismissed for the present.
