ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a Tradesman who retired from service of the respondent Transport Corporation on 31.05.2022.

According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, while he was working as a Senior Tradesman, his monthly salary was Rs.11,250/- (Rupees Eleven Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty only) per month. However, after his promotion as a Junior Engineer, his basic pay was reduced to Rs.9,520/- (Rupees Nine Thousand Five Hundred and Twenty only) per month. In view of the pay anomaly, he has made a representation on 05.06.2023 to the respondents seeking to restore his basic pay prior to his promotion and to pay the arrears of difference amount in his basic pay. Since the said request has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Considering the above said facts, the respondent herein is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.06.2023 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 2/4

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
